Well done to Danielle Swift, Hannah Gresty, Dominika Kuder, Molly Ogden and Adam Chatterton, from our Portfolio Administration Team, based in Manchester, who all braved the cold weather and spent a day volunteering at a local dogs’ home in December.
The team utilised Chase de Vere’s ‘Volunteering Policy’, which allows employees to undertake volunteering activities and ‘give something back’ in their local communities during the working day, while still receiving their usual pay and holiday allowances.
We believe that volunteering can be a great way for our employees to develop new skills, meet new people and face new challenges in different environments, whilst at the same time often supporting their own learning and development.
The dogs’ home is a rescue centre relying on donations and volunteers to keep them going as they house and rehabilitate abandoned and stray dogs.
Our Portfolio Administration volunteers spent the day walking the dogs, which are currently being rehabilitated ready for adoption. They each walked 4 to 5 dogs throughout the day, of varying breeds, and the day was topped off by the final dog that Hannah walked, Little Rocky, being picked up by his new owners and taken off to his new home.
