We’re really pleased to announce that Jay Dhaliwal, who is a Chartered Financial Planner based in our Birmingham office, has been shortlisted in the Finance category at the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards 2024.
These awards are designed to celebrate the best young professionals in Birmingham and are organised by the young professionals’ arm of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.
Jay’s entry is focused on the fantastic service she provides for her clients, the progress that she has made in her career and the achievements she has accomplished. It highlights that she has achieved Chartered status, is a PFS (Personal Finance Society) Education Champion where she delivers financial education sessions to children in schools and colleges, and that she sits on the PFS financial planning practitioner (POWER) panel. Only 12 financial advisers across the UK are selected to join the POWER panel, which helps develop the skills, techniques, training and good practice of other financial advisers.
Jay’s talents have been recognised previously. She was named as the Young Achiever of the Year at the Professional Adviser awards in 2023, and Highly Commended in the Financial Adviser of the Year category for the Midlands and East Anglia at the Women in Financial Advice Awards. This year she has been selected as one of the 2024 PAM NextGen Leaders. Only a small number of individuals across private client law, accountancy, investment management and financial planning are selected for this accolade, which “identifies, recognises, introduces and promotes the rising stars of private client wealth management in the UK.”
The winners of the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards will be announced at an award event at the ICC in Birmingham on Friday 18 October. We wish Jay the very best of luck.
