Double recognition for Chase de Vere Advisers

We’re delighted to announce that two of our Independent Financial Advisers have received outstanding recognition from leading professional bodies within the financial advice industry.

Jay Dhaliwal, from our Birmingham office, has been selected to join the Personal Finance Society (PFS) Financial Planning Practitioner (POWER) panel. Meanwhile, Catriona Smith, from our Glasgow office, has been selected to sit on the Society of Later Life Advisers’ (SOLLA) Advisory Board

The Personal Finance Society is the leading professional body for the financial planning sector and has close to 40,000 members. Just 12 members from across the UK are selected to sit on the POWER panel. This panel reports to the Chief Executive of the PFS on all matters pertaining to financial planning and training and building and sharing good practice across the financial advice industry.

This is outstanding recognition for Jay and follows her recent success when, in April, she was named as the Professional Adviser Young Achiever of the Year 2023.

The Society of Later Life Advisers is a not-for-profit organisation, which is dedicated to higher standards and accessibility to regulated financial advice for older people and their families. All SOLLA accredited members specialise in the financial needs of older people.

The SOLLA Advisory Board also has a maximum of 12 members, in addition to the Chairperson, and provides feedback to the SOLLA directors on market intelligence and assisting with their strategy of promoting expert later life financial advice.

Catriona has been SOLLA’s West of Scotland Regional Co-Ordinator since 2019, and regularly presents at seminars and webinars on behalf of Alzheimer’s Scotland and the Good Care Group on Long Term Care and helping families make informed care funding decisions, as well as running training sessions for her fellow Chase de Vere advisers and webinars for clients. She was also named as the Financial Adviser of the Year for Scotland and Northern Ireland at the Women in Financial Advice Awards in 2019 and in 2020.

We are immensely proud of Jay’s and Catriona’s achievements. The prestigious endorsements they’ve received from two of the leading professional bodies in the financial advice industry are well deserved and give both Advisers the opportunity to help shape the future of the financial planning profession.
