Chase de Vere’s third annual charity walk

On Saturday 18 May, 62 Chase de Vere employees, joined by about 20 friends and family and a few canine friends for good measure, descended on the Lake District to take on the 21-mile Ullswater Way walk, which circumnavigates Ullswater Lake.

This was Chase de Vere’s third annual charity walk, following the Yorkshire 3 Peaks in 2022 and the Edale Skyline, which is in the Peak District, last year. Each time we have been raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association through sponsorship and all walkers donating to take part.

Decked out in Chase de Vere branded t-shirts, our walkers enjoyed a beautiful day, definitely one for hats, sun-tan lotion and plenty of liquids, and many stunning views of the lake and the surrounding area. All of our employees wore trackers, to ensure that nobody got lost, and this worked well although one of our colleagues somehow still managed a 4-mile diversion!

All in all, the whole event was a great success. The Chase de Vere walkers had a fantastic day out and helped to raise some money for a wonderful charity. We’re already thinking about where to hold next year’s walk.
