Chase de Vere fundraising for The Child Brain Injury Trust

We were delighted to welcome Emma Pilling from the Child Brain Injury Trust, to give a presentation to our Independent Financial Advisers.

She spoke about the brilliant work that this charity does to support children impacted by brain injuries and their families. This is a charity which is very close to our heart, especially for our Personal Injury & Court of Protection (PICOP) team, who see at first hand the fantastic work that this charity does.

Following Emma’s presentation, our Advisers made donations and raised £2,555 for the charity.

Driven largely by Gurdev Bansal, who is an Independent Financial Adviser based in our Cambridge office, we have been undertaking further fundraising for this charity.

Gurdev proactively contacted all 20 Premier League football teams, asking if they would donate a signed shirt which he could use to raise more money. He was rejected by 19 of clubs and just one – Manchester United – sent him a football shirt which has been signed by their 2023/24 season first team squad.

We have since raffled the shirt within Chase de Vere and raised a further £785 for the Child Brain Injury Trust. The winner of the raffle was delighted, as his son is a Manchester United supporter and it was his birthday the following week.

Gurdev isn’t stopping there, and he will be running the London Marathon in April to raise more money for this fantastic charity.
